To login to online banking the system asks for your member number to verify that you have an account. I discovered that while my account is closed I am still in the system as a member of the credit union. On April 1, I "double-checked" to ensure the account was closed as this closing process had been concerning. I asked to close any accounts opened with my information and stated that I did not want to be a member of this credit union. I kept following up and on March 23 was finally able to have my payment recognized by Connexus after having PatientFi investigate the issue. I followed up the next week and was told the same information. They said my payment had not registered in their system and to follow up the next week. I contacted Connexus by email and phone the following day, March 7, to inform them of this. I paid off my PatientFi loan on March 6, 2023. I was required to remain a member of Connexus until my loan with PatientFi was paid off. Doing so automatically made me a member of the subject of this complaint - Connexus Credit Union. On FebruI took out a loan with a business called PatientFi. We hope the above addresses the members concerns for closure of this matter. The dealership will need to obtain a new *** from the manufacturer to send to the ******************* in order to finalize the titling and registration. It is also our understanding that the Dealership mailed the *** (Manufacturers Statement of Origin) to the ******************* but the *** unfortunately was lost in the mail. ******** statement regarding the recreational vehicle being inoperable is due to a titling issue, not a manufacturing issue. Because ****************** did not make the full payment for March 2023,Connexus accurately reported a partial payment and the members account as delinquent. This option would not affect her credit negatively, as long as the full payment was satisfied on time every month. ****************** was provided the option to either provide Connexus proof of insurance to eliminate the force-placed insurance, or to move the increased payment amount for the force-placed insurance to the end of her loan in order to keep the original payment amount. As the member failed to maintain insurance against loss and damage,collateral protection insurance was force-placed on March 2, 2023, causing her monthly payment to increase. The Security Agreement states that if a member fails to maintain and provide proof of the required insurance, Connexus will place collateral protection insurance on the collateral. Please see the enclosed highlighted portion of the Loan and Security Agreement as signed and agreed to by the member. Similarly, Connexus members are required by both contract and applicable state law to maintain property insurance on collateral throughout the life of the loan. Moreover, if the borrower fails to insure the property and the contract requires insurance,every state permits a creditor to force-place insurance based on the borrowers default. In addition and as a general background, it is industry standard for a secured loan agreement to require a borrower to insure the property from loss or damage.
